2020-2021

SCHEMES – LAW AND JUSTICE-2020

Established a panel of learned and experienced experts on law and justice. The panel will conduct and lead legal awareness programs for general public and ‘Ethics and efficiency’ booster trainings for law students, beginners and practitioners. Apart from these general services, the panel also will provide legal appraisals, consultancies and services to the needy beneficiaries and counsels, in specific cases. Appraisal report minimizes their case study and research works whereas consultancy will enrich their vision and presentations. Direct appearance and handling of the case are referred as service here. Except awareness and training programs, others may be given for free of cost or on a concessional and reasonable basis, depending upon the nature of the issue and situation of the beneficiary.

  1. Formation of an ‘Institute for Law, Justice and Human Rights’ with affiliation from leading national and international law universities. Apart from conventional professional courses, specialization, research and advance research on the various dimensions of (LJH) law, justice and human rights) will also be provided. Several certificate courses useful for study and effective practice of law will be included. Learning by part-time, online and distance education modes, will be facilitated. The institute will also publish a rich bi-b  annual journal on ‘Law and Society’.
  2. Similar to ‘Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), our forum will strive its best to promote ‘Legal Social Responsibility”. Services of law have become inaccessible to the marginalized and middle class public, who are the most deserving beneficiaries of justice. Concessional services available are devoid of competency. More than the view of truth and deservingness, now, legal practice focuses only on safeguarding of clients and professional benefits such as fame and money. Parallel to this unchangeable trend, we need to develop a team of professionals who work for truth, justice and social welfare. This team will make the system of law to grace the deserving but neglected mass; the marginalized, sensitive, vulnerable, survivors and victims. We have initiated a survey program to find out the “Social commitment quotient’ of law practitioners and learners and also of the general student community. Suitable members traced in this survey will form the team of ‘Lawyers for Society’(LAFS). The lawyers may offer their possible services free of cost or on a concessional basis and in case of reasonable payments needed to engage competent counsels, philanthropists and charitable organizations can sponsor such deserving ‘cases’, by paying the needed court and advocate fees. Our forum will also join hands with like-minded organizations and activists in accomplishing its
    objectives.
